Pussycat Poles Perform at Park Lane Event to Raise Cash for Former Football Star's Charity.

park lane event23rd May 2011 - Kent based Pole Dancing School 'Pussycat Poles' wowed a London audience at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane this week.  Emma Smith, Safina Dobbs and Charlotte Horsnell of 'Pussycat Poles' performed to two songs at a show to raise funds for 'Dennis Wise in the Community,' a charity fronted by former Chelsea and Millwall star Dennis Wise.

park lane event"It was so much fun and we were honoured to be asked to perform for such a worthy cause," said Emma Smith, Founder of Pussycat Poles, "Our numbers were very tongue in cheek, we entered the ballroom dressed as Maypole dancers to fool the crowd wearing long white gowns, then we whipped our gowns off Bucks Fizz style to reveal cheeky white tutu’s and crop tops as we danced to Britney Spears.  It was definitely a crowd pleaser!"

Over 70 schools applied to take part in this charity event, there were only 28 spaces - we were one of the lucky ones. I just wanna say that I'm absolutely loving PussyCat Poles classes, the team (Charlotte and Marie) are so friendly and encouraging! I can't believe you can do so many things on a pole hehe!, I'm currently at the Ashford beginners class and I'm definitely going to carry on these classes until I'm a pro!! lol (fingers crossed!)

Stephanie Goulding, Ashford, Kent

Pole dancing is the best fun I have had in ages!

Ceri, Maidstone, Kent

It’s brilliant fun, a fantastic workout for your whole body and it makes your brain work too!

Bekky, Maidstone, Kent

I was really anxious about joining the pole dancing course as I always associated it with sleazy strip clubs but to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I have done the course 4 times and I will never tire of it. Pole dancing will always be a part of my life from now on.

Kayla, Maidstone, Kent

I have been going to the classes since September 2005 and am hooked! I have lost weight, gained confidence, feel sexy and am much fitter and toned. My posture has improved and friends comment on the new me.
