About Us
Pussycat Poles make pole dancing accessible to anyone and everyone who wants to get fit and have fun
Pussycat Poles was established in 2003 by Emma Birch. Emma is one of the leading figures in the UK pole dancing scene and has played a key role in the growth of pole dancing as a mainstream health & fitness discipline. Today she remains at the forefront of pole dancing in the UK. Having trained with numerous world champions she is always up-to-speed with the latest developments in performance and teaching techniques.
At Pussycat Poles we take a friendly, informal approach to teaching pole dancing. This doesn’t make our courses any easier – we just find that our girls work harder and improve more quickly when they’re having fun!
All the staff at Pussycat Poles are passionate about helping people improve their health and well-being, and we’re massively motivated by the positive effects we can clearly see as our ladies advance through their classes. Watching our members make such progress, both physically and in their performance skills, is very rewarding for instructors.
Part of our local community
It’s this connection with the people we work with that has led us to get more involved with our local community. Last year we raised £3,000 for the Katie Piper Foundation, while this year our Annual Showcase raised £4,000 for the charity chYps – hospice care for children and young people. And to show what friendly Pussycats we really are, we also do charity dog walks to raise money for Dogs Trust.
